In the Urban Science and Sustainability (USS) Conference, held from December 14 to 18, 2023, Yiyang Wang delivered her research findings on “Equitable Park Access: Advancing Sustainable Transportation for Urban Nature in Metro Vancouver, Canada.”
Wang’s presentation showcases the challenges posed by private car reliance in Metro Vancouver and the use of sustainable transportation modes is intricately linked to a complex interplay of socio-demographic factors and trip-related attributes. By identifying and understanding these dynamics, urban planners and policymakers can develop strategies to promote sustainable transportation choices and mitigate the associated challenges.
